No Cover, No Green Beer, No Plastic Clover

This Saint Patrick's Day will be our 18th since opening the Irish Heather's doors in Gastown. We don't really do anything different on that day than we do every other day i.e. we are as Irish today as we are on March 17th. Nothing against our brethern in other establishments, and we are not judging anybody.....at the Heather on March 17th, the decor, prices, menu and beer will be the same - it will just be a little busy for a Monday :)

Sean Heather cooking on TV

On St. Patrick's Day at 12:30pm, Sean Heather (owner of the Irish Heather) will be cooking something Irish, live on Global TV Noon News. In his youth, one hundred years ago, Sean was a youth presenter "Anything Goes", a show on Ireland's National TV Station - RTE.

Every Saturday for a year, Sean would waffle on about things youth-related that were happening in Limerick. Tune in to see if, 30 years later, he has lost his touch !!!
